Welcome to the Virgin Islands Humanities Council
The Virgin Islands Humanities Council (VIHC) is a private, non-profit organization supported primarily by public funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), an independent grant-making agency established by Congress in 1965 to support research, education, and public projects in the humanities. The work of the Council is accomplished by a board of thirteen volunteer directors, supported by a small staff.
